The Farm Shed is a specialist online organic food shop. They supply organic meat, fish, fruit and veg online, either by ordering using the standard online shop or through regular 'boxes' which are treated as a standing order. They also operate a carbon neutral delivery service.

We designed the site using Viart as a basis, which is a commercial shopping cart and E-commerce software solution. We had to do some quite heavy modification though to give The Farm Shed all the functionality the needed.

The product list is changing constantly due to the seasonal nature of the foods, so the Content Management System allows The Farm Shed to manage product pages, stock levels, orders and deliveries all in the one browser window.

We also had to make sure that the 'boxes', as well as functioning as a standing order, could be editable so customers can add or delete unwanted items, and last minute changes can be made by the staff in the event the need to substitute a product.
